Why do I choose theatre? Because of the constant pressure that is put on me, and even though I seem as though I hate it, I love it. I love the idea of doing something, and working on something so hard and the outcome relies on the pure entertainment of others.
As a wannabe historian I love the idea of replicating an art that was performed in ancient Greece, and Japan etc. The aspect of pleasing the crowd so that they can escape their lives for just a few minutes and enter a form of cheap pleasure. Theatre is an art that I like to think I am studying.

My favorite memories are too numerous to count but if I was to focus on this past year I have a couple. The first being that I had the honor of working with actors from New York on the show that Darci Faye (my director) wrote Infinitely Yours. That was quite an experience. Darci basically told me that I would be helping with making the stage, I would be doing the lights, and running the sound for one of the performances as well as helping with other odds and ends. It was a crazy learning experience. I also had a chance to meet some amazing actors, and it was an honor to meet them. Then there was the show Beyond Therapy. That was an amazing show that, just like every other show, came together at the last second.
We recently had the Valentines Revue. That was so much fun. I had never had a solo in a sub-musical/musical before.

To Sara Hall, Andrea Hamilton, Emma Betterley, and Nathan Reeves for doing a four person adaptation of Grease. Thank you for just being you! Because what I saw was amazing and you have all changed my life for the better.
